Supportive Housing Improving Foster Transition (SHIFT) is officially a 501(c)(3) charitable organization! After months of hard work, we received our determination letter from the IRS granting SHIFT 501(c)(3) status. Thank you to our wonderful lawyers, John and Franca, for helping to make this happen!
What's the big deal?
- This is a milestone for SHIFT and gives us credibility as an organization - allowing us to reach out to local businesses, churches, and other potential donors!
- We are now eligible for grants and other funding sources that require 501(c)(3) status!
- Your donations are tax-deductible!
- Some employers match contributions to 501(c)(3) organizations!
